Garlic breads with yeast taste great. If only there wasn't always the long walking time. But why wait a long time? Finally, garlic bread can also be baked without yeast.garlic bread
Baking with yeast frightens many because they imagine it to be very complicated and also fear that the baking will not work. There is also the time-consuming walking time that can spoil baking. However, many simply cannot tolerate the yeast and get bloated and indigestion after consumption. But who says that garlic bread has to be baked with yeast? After all, that works completely without. Just try it yourself.
Ingredients for the garlic bread:
- approx. 320 g wheat flour (type 1050)
- 200 ml low-fat milk
- 2 tablespoons of olive oil
- 3 cloves of garlic
- 1 packet of mixed, frozen herbs
- 1 packet of baking soda
- 1 pinch of baking soda
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- 1 pinch of nutmeg
- possibly 1 - 2 tablespoons of mineral water
➥ Step 1:
Put the flour, milk, oil, baking powder, salt, nutmeg and baking soda in a bowl and use a hand mixer to knead the ingredients or use a food processor to make a smooth dough. If the dough is still very sticky, simply add a little more flour or one or two tablespoons of mineral water.
2 Step 2:
Peel the cloves of garlic, press through the garlic press and then put the porridge in the batter. Then there are the frozen herbs. Then knead everything well.
3 Step 3:
Now grease the tin with a little oil, add the finished dough and spread it evenly into the baking tin.
4 Step 4:
Now the bread goes into the oven preheated to 200 degrees. Here he should bake for 30 to 40 minutes. So that the crust does not become too hard, simply place a cup filled with water in the oven. Alternatively, you can also sprinkle the bread with water from time to time.
A little hint:
Instead of bread, you can conjure up wonderfully small garlic rolls from the dough. Simply cut small balls from the dough with a dampened tablespoon and then bake for about 10 minutes.
You can also replace the garlic with other ingredients. We recommend e.g. Fried onions, diced ham, pumpkin or sunflower seeds.
